About Us
Our Background
Orphan Care Volunteers Association is an indigenous organization established in 2018 but fully registered in 2021 under the as a community Based Organization with its operations in Mpigi District? The organization started in the communities of Kasambya, kituntu Division, Mpigi district. Uganda East Africa, as a humanitarian and development organization by a group of community members. The purpose was to support the most vulnerable communities in rural areas of Uganda to live a descent life.
We welcome partnerships with individual donors, non-governmental organizations (NGO’s), government organizations, local churches, corporations, universities and volunteers in order to bridge the gap between people in need and those with resources.
- To promote food security, nutrition and health among the families with Children in our communities
- To involve parents and guardians of children in income generating activities like poultry, piggery, craft making among others.
- To promote love, care and protection the Orphans and Vulnerable children in our Communities
- To create awareness and promote child health care programs.
- To promote unity among members both in happiness and in sad moments.
