Our Background

Orphan Care Volunteers Association is an indigenous organization established in 2018 but fully registered in 2021 under the as a community Based Organization with its operations in Mpigi District? The organization started in the communities of Kasambya, kituntu Division, Mpigi district. Uganda East Africa, as a humanitarian and development organization by a group of community members. The purpose was to support the most vulnerable communities in rural areas of Uganda to live a descent life.

We welcome partnerships with individual donors, non-governmental organizations (NGO’s), government organizations, local churches, corporations, universities and volunteers in order to bridge the gap between people in need and those with resources.

To have strong and empowered families ready to support themselves in terms of food security, poverty alleviation and improved child welfare
“To empower families to become self-reliant both economically and financially”.
 
  1. To promote food security, nutrition and health among the families with Children in our communities
  2. To involve parents and guardians of children in income generating activities like poultry, piggery, craft making among others.
  3. To promote love, care and protection the Orphans and Vulnerable children in our Communities
  4. To create awareness and promote child health care programs.
  5. To promote unity among members both in happiness and in sad moments.
We are inviting individuals and co-operation to join the organization though membership. We also welcome members to visit and carry out activities.
